Salisbury, PA Girl Scout Movement
Salisbury's Girl Scout movement began in 1914, organized under the leadership of Mrs. Florence Livengood. Meetings were held in the scout cabin which was located on the lot which adjoined the then H. H. Maust home. Regulation uniforms were made by the scout mothers and friends. Program activities consisted of hiking, nature study, crafts and sports. A week long camping trip each summer at Stanton's Dam was also a part of the many activities.
